Featured on ABC's 20/20, Tumescent liposuction is a surgical technique that enhances the body's contour by removing excess fat. This technique is considered the safest form of liposuction. It is performed in the office using local anesthesia or light IV sedation. There is minimal discomfort and blood loss, and recovery is quick. Most patients are discharged approximately thirty minutes after the completed procedure.

Liposuction is body sculpting. It is not a treatment for general obesity. However, an overweight person with certain problem areas of accumulated fat may be an excellent candidate for liposuction.

Areas that can be treated with liposuction include the chin, arms, breasts, abdomen, back, hips, thighs, legs, calves, and buttocks. Many men use liposuction for Gynecomastia (enlarged breasts), chin, and love handles.

An injection of a clinical formulation of botulinum A exotoxin (BTX-A) makes it possible to immobilize selected muscles of facial expression. Areas such as wrinkles, crow's feet, frown lines, forehead lines, creases or dimples in chin, and horizontal neck lines can be successfully treated by tiny injections, in the office with no anesthesia necessary.

Completed results will appear wi thin 24 hours to 2 weeks. Botox injections can be used in conjunction with facial resurfacing. Periodic re-injection may be necessary.

Collagen Injections, derived from purified bovine collagen, are one of the top ten cosmetic procedures performed in the United States. It works by replacing the collagen that the skin loses over time, giving a more youthful appearance. It is a safe, effective, and imm ediate 20 minute treatment for wrinkles, frown lines, and most scars. An allergy test is required before collagen is injected.

One of the main causes of aging is the apparent loss of fat in your face. By using the Liposuction Technique, fat can be harvested from one part of the body and then reinjected into another part of the body. This is different from collagen because it is not a foreign substance to your body; it will not be rejected by your immune system.

It is effective in reducing the signs of aging around the eyes, mouth, cheeks, and other areas of the face. However, deep scars, congenital deformities, and other postsurgical defects can also be treated.

Gortex implantsThis implant material, one of the most popular, can be used for procedures on the nose, cheeks, chin, and several other areas of the face. It is most useful enhancing the lips, filling in nasal libial folds, frown lines, and deep folds under the skin. Because this material has tiny pores, it will allow the tissue ingrowth without forming the typical scar tissue encapsulation.

Allowing the implant material to become incorporated with the body is a much more natural way. This is a permanent implant, but can be completely removed as well.

Chemical peels are done with TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) and are more effective than those using glycolic acid or CO2 Laser Resurfacing. TCA removes a thin layer of aged and damaged skin, allowing a new healthy layer to grow.

Anyone with wrinkles, laxity, pigmentation problems, belmishes, sun damage,poor skin or simply the desire to look younger can benefit from this 30 minute procedure. Most people take 5 to 7 days to recover.

Blepharoplasty, or Eyelid Surgery, can remove fatty bags under the eyes and excessive skin from the upper eyelids. It can also correct sagging eyelids and give a more youthful and energetic appearance. Recovery time is about two weeks. Blepharoplasty can be done under local anesthesia or light IV sedation and can be combined with other procedures such as a brow lift, face lift or laser skin resurfacing.

Abdominoplasty, or Tummy Tucks, is the tightening the abdominal wall muscles and removing excess fatty tissue and skin in order to flatten the abdomen. Recovery time varies but is generally within one to three weeks. For those with excess fat below the navel, a Mini-Tummy Tuck may be sufficient.

Sclerotherapy permanently eliminates spider and varicose veins by using microneedles to inject a sclerosing solution into the vein. The procedure takes about 20 minutes and generally involves very little pain and discomfort. Multiple treatments may be needed.
